For the Greater Good

I will never cease to be amazed.

Do we not all want pretty much the same things: security, education for our children, steady jobs, food on the table, a roof over our heads, health care, retirement, prosperity?  The list can go on and on, but that fact remains that we're all in this ship together.  Sounds simple enough, but there's a problem.  We don't all want the same things, some want more, and more, and more.

These are extraordinary times.  This is a time to work together at a common goal; to fix what is broken in our country.  This is not a time to be fractured (if there ever is).  This is a time to put personal agendas aside.  No longer is it time for business as usual.  It is time to wake up to the seriousness of our situation .

I'm having a hard time with those who persist in acting like self-centered children, when what we really need is adult leadership.  The Conservative v. Liberal, the Left v. Right and everything in between is counter-productive, and I would submit, un-American.  Tea parties are for children.

There seems to be a lot of time and effort spent with the goal of discrediting our President.  People, he is our President and he has stepped into one mell of a hess.  Is there any one of us who could make things right in a little over a year?  Don't think so.  Back off, and let our leader do his job as best as he can.  Listen to him and support him.  That's being Patriotic.  If, at the end of his term, things are not better, we also have the right,  as American Patriots,  to elect someone else.  That's the way it works.

This is a democracy, remember?  It's what fits best for the majority, not what fits best for a select few.  It is not what is best for corporations and special interest groups, banks, Republicans, Democrats, what-have-you,  but rather for the whole; the Country.

You and I are the Country.  It's  time to work together.
